Our chronic wound healing system is a program prescribed and supervised exclusively by physicians.
The program begins with a doctor’s visit, during which the patient’s wound and overall condition are assessed. Subsequently, the patient is given instructions for daily wound care and monitoring. With the assistance of their dedicated wound care buddy app, the patient is required to follow the doctor’s guidance, which typically involves taking pictures of the wound, cleaning it, and applying the prescribed dressing. The doctor receives daily updates and will be alerted to any irregularities or signs of possible infection, prompting necessary treatment for the patient.
Most wounds typically heal within 60 days, and the progress is meticulously documented in the Wound Care Buddy app. This data is accessible to the doctor, the patient, and the healthcare provider, enabling them to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment and track the patient’s recovery. All recorded information is securely stored in the cloud for easy data retrieval and future analysis.
As the database grows, we plan to incorporate AI technology into the system, leading to an approved diagnostic and treatment program. This system will be seamlessly integrated with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and patient billing using HIPPA secure website. The cloud-stored data will serve as a valuable source of technical information for medical research, and its significance will only increase as more wounds are treated.
